PLAN offers the following non-professional and professional memberships:
Non-Professional:
Friend
- $60 annually: Friends value the work of PLAN and wish to support it, but do not wish to avail of its services. Friends are encouraged to attend the annual meetings but have no voting rights.
Sponsoring
- $200 annually: Sponsoring members may attend special activities and the annual membership meeting. Sponsoring members may enroll their family's consumer (person with a mental illness) for psychotherapy and/or case management (these services are fee based), socialization and educational programs. Sponsoring members shall have one vote per family in elections.
Lifetime Memberships:
Lifetime memberships are available to PLAN Sponsoring members who wish to pre-pay, in one lump sum, PLAN's annual dues that might otherwise be incurred by the family over a period of time.
By becoming Lifetime members, PLAN Sponsoring members are demonstrating their commitment to PLAN's mission, goals and values.
However, all PLAN families, even those with Lifetime memberships, should not expect that PLAN will provide individual or family counseling or care management services without payment of the fees for such services.
In short, the burden of providing the financial resources necessary to provide for the lifetime care and well being of the family member with mental illness rests entirely with the family.
If you are interested in purchasing a Lifetime membership, please contact PLAN's Executive Director for the current cost.
The Board of Directors of PLAN reserves the right to change the cost of Lifetime memberships at any time.
Professional:
Professional
- $110 annually: professionals, those individuals with an advanced degree and/or professional certification and work experience that benefits persons who have mental illnesses, shall have the same privileges as Friends. In addition, they will have a listing in every edition of PLAN News.
Sponsoring Professional
- $200 annually: sponsoring professionals will have a family member with mental illness and will enjoy the same privileges as a Sponsoring and Professional member.
