Meet the Staff

Patty Anderson , LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), Executive Director, supervises the agency administration and the professional staff, and also does some case management. Patty Anderson has over 20 years experience in psychiatric social work and supervision. Patty graduated with a B. A. and obtained an M.S. in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Sarah Aberg , LCSW, full-time social worker with 15 years mental health and psychiatric social work experience. Sarah graduated with a B.S. in Visual Arts from the University of Texas at Dallas and obtained an MSSW from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Julie Bangle , LMSW, full-time social worker with 8 years psychiatric social work experience and 15 years as a public school teacher. Julie graduated with a B.A. in Education from Trinity University, San Antonio and obtained an M.S. in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Pam Cohen, Asst. Director of Education , has a Master's Degree in Psychology and personal experience with mental illness.

Carol Fletcher, Development Director , has a rich background in fund-raising experience after a long history with the Girl Scouts of Texas and a background in retailing. Carol has a BBA degree from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana.


PLAN's Consulting Psychiatrist

Psychiatrist
Joel Feiner, M.DPsychiatrist Joel Feiner, M.D., consults with the PLAN staff regularly focusing on developing solutions to client problems with the goal of leading clients to recovery and integration into society.

Dr. Feiner is the Medical Director, Comprehensive Homeless Center, Veterans Administration North Texas Health Care Center. He is the past Medical Director of Telecare of Texas and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Feiner, a graduate of Yale University, obtained his Medical Degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During his tenure at Einstein, Dr. Feiner became a full Professor and was the Director of Psychiatry Residency Training and the Division of Social and Community Psychiatry. Among Dr. Feiner's many awards are the Outstanding Community Psychiatrist from the National, Texas and Dallas Alliances for the Mentally Ill, the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, and the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Feiner is well known, highly respected by professionals in the mental health community in Dallas and loved by patients and families.
